Windsurfing and Kite Events

Two years in a row now we had great conditions with winds up to 25 knots and waves up to mast high!! So why do it anywhere else?

After our latest meeting we decided not to host the Windsurf Nationals do to lack of commitment of our members however we did decide to continue the Blast and run the Kite Nationals in January 2005.

Help required

An update for some, being overseas...an invitation if in town.

A meeting is on Friday 20th Aug. at 6:30pm for all kiters at the

Geraldton Surf Life Saving Club.

This meeting is a nuts and bolts meeting to divvy up duties now leading

up to the Geraldton Blast and the National Titles.

Officially, the Geraldton Blast is the WA State Titles, from which

kiters will be chosen to represent WA in the Nationals also to be held

at Pt Moore.

Nominations are also sought by WAKSA for judging personnel for the H2O

Gravity Games and the Nationals, both of which are paid positions.

Induction and some training will be necessary if interested call Gavin

Chances are with the Gravity Games being in late Oct, we will get the

crew that are over for the H2O Games (top 12 riders in the world) and

their hangers on/mates etc.  plus the 4 chosen by AKSA and their teams

from the East...so the line up is potentially huge.

We have achieved what we thought might be possible in getting the

Nationals.  Now it's looking like it will be a bigger deal than could

possibly be anticipated with the Blast getting spin-offs.

Australian Kite Nationals In Geraldton, WA  25-30 Jan 2005

Geraldton Blast 2004 Coming up (Windsurf and Kite)

Coronations, Point Moore or Sunset... Where is the Blast going to be?

After long talk we at last concurred: The Geraldton Blast 2004 will be at Point Moore on 21 and 22 November 2004. It will be greater than any time in recent memory with a gigantic Hawaiian Party at the GBH. The aims are to get the Island pioneer again for the wave segment, however this time it will be a gathering pontoon. At a cost yet to be talked about you will get a comprehensive day on the vessel so continue checking this website page for the most recent. Ps.. constrained spots will be accessible so enlist your enthusiasm by calling Mick on 08-99653552. For more information re the kiting part please E-mail Gavin on sccgh@modnet.com.au
